Bad News
My Dad died this morning. Talk about a shock. I just spoke with him on Sunday. He died peacefully after his morning walk. It's been all day and the witch he married has YET to call any of us 5 kids and tell us he died. I really despise her. We found out when my brother was called by the hospital because they couldn't reach his creepy wife. What kind of human being does not take a few seconds to notify the man's kids??!! Here I am in MI, hours away and none of us know what's going on about funeral etc. I'm just sick over this. At least he's in peace and with my late Mother.

Baby Birds
We left a ladder leaning up against the back of our house and a Robin made good use of it. She built a nest at the top! So far I've seen 3 babies. Snapped a photo of 1! Awe, how cute!

Insanity and Ugliness
Yeah, I have been missing in action for a long time. However, I've good reasons: my Dad's Alzheimer's has advanced and the cretin he married stuffed him in a skilled nursing facility WITHOUT telling any of us five children for 3 weeks! Lovely woman. Ugh (3 of us kids were all on vacation when said cretin did this.)
He's not completely out there but he needs assistance she refuses to give. Her comment to me previously when his diagnosis was made was: "I didn't sign up for this shit." Stay classy, eh?
Dad spent the entire summer with me in Michigan, did well, was walking well, laughing and made great progress. Well, hell, I am a nurse and I've cared for many patients in his condition. Anyway when he returned home the cretin had locked him out of the house, told him to get he fuck away from her house, threatened my sister and lawyer husband and then called the cops. It was insane and has been so ever since.
So NOW that we all know where he is I drive every other week to Iowa to spend 3-4 days with him. Needless to say I'm less than thrilled with the cretin but as his oldest child I really have no legal rights to assist him---and THAT bites. I'm working on that too. So while I may not post as often I will try to throw some happier things up as I am able. Wish me luck and I promise to behave when seeing said cretin since jail would NOT be a good place for me! }: >~~~
Here, have a photo of Puerto Rico...which was where I began my vacation when the insanity began:

More of The New Fawn and Mom
The new fawn is so cute. Very friendly too. The baby comes nearly every evening with it's Mom to munch on corn and veggies I put out. Not many babies born this year I suspect since the Mom usually has 2 babies and I've only seen this one all summer. Also WI and I think MI have put restrictions on hunting season: No taking of does...at all!

Some Summer Photos
It's been a beautiful summer up here in Michigan. So much better than last year. Veggies are growing well and just the right amount of rain.
My sister visited for 2 weeks. We had a blast. My Dad came with her and he'll be here for another 5 to 6 weeks. His wife had heart surgery so he needs to be away from home as he can't be of any help. His Alzheimer's is progressing and I do notice the changes. Oh well, he's my Dad and I'll take care of him in any way possible.
Also, my 50 lb poodlicious dog, Taffy yanked me to the ground and broke 3 of my ribs! Yikes! My new monster puppy, Baylee yanked my down in the woods and I sprained my ankle! I swear, I should change my name to Calamity Jody.
I haven't blogged much because I've been so darn busy. Busy enjoying the summer sun and my family.
Here's the photos:

It's Crazy Here in the U.P. of Michigan
Well, yesterday it started snowing! yes, snowing! By morning we had 4 inches of new snow. BTW, it's STILL snowing! Absolutely crazy weather we get here!
The first photos were from 10 P.M. last night:
My poor plants!
Time to snow!
Won't be getting a tan here!
Now this is what I woke up to this morning!
Prior to all this happening I adopted some new fur babies! 2 black and white tuxedo female 7 month old kitties. Plus a 3 month old German Sheperd mix pup that had been abandoned in the woods! All came from the Humane shelter. They are awesome!
This is Baylee who was abandoned. What a time to see his first snow! In May!
This is Chiba. She's a lounge lizard!
This is Terra. She's a sweetie with a demonic look!
So, that's life here in Michigan for the moment. The snow will most likely be gone by Monday but good grief, how bizarre!
